Easter Celebration

So we celebrated Easter with Pat's side of the family on Saturday evening. I wasn't very good at snapping pictures because Pat's dad was doing a great job. So I'll blog with what I have. Anyways, we had a lot of fun visiting with aunts and uncles and cousins. Pat's cousin Reanin and her husband Rory just had a new baby girl 3 weeks ago. Their older daughter Annaliese is about 20 months old, and she and Jenna played very well together. Grandpa Tom and Grandma Shelly bought this covered red wagon for Jenna since they live super close to a beautiful park. Annaliese and Jenna sat in there forever just playing with plastic Easter eggs. It was so sweet. I know this picture is a bit blurry but it's the only one I got with both girls looking up.
It was so sweet to see them giving each other hugs and kisses. Annaliese really wanted to help Jenna with her sippy cup
So of course, Jenna had to return the favor.

So then on Easter Sunday we spent the day with my side of the family. We went to the 9 am church service, which was awesome, and then I served at the 11:00 service. I work every other Sunday in the church nursery and we were expecting a big crowd. The service was huge! We had 212 kids in Kids Connection (nursery-6th grade), and 17 babies in the nursery. Whew....it was a bit tiring. After I finished up at the church, we loaded up the cars and headed to Visalia to spend the day with my mom's cousins. It has become a tradition to go every year and we all look forward to it. We always eat ridiculous amounts of yummy food and have lot's of fun just hanging out. All the kids have tons of fun playing, and Jenna got to get in on it a bit this year. It makes me so happy to celebrate holidays and create traditions for our little family
Ummm...really, I know I'm their mom/auntie, but seriously, could these 3 be any cuter???
Jenna found some eggs and even got them in her basket this year.
Ok, I'm a total mean mommy but I purposely gave my kid a lemonhead and then got the camera ready...you know it's funny...go ahead and laugh
She looks like such a big kid eating her jelly beans with her big cousin Ally
Ok, check out the location of the ball...how do you think this is going to end up?? And no, Nonnie didn't throw the ball at her.
That's my girl. No tears, just has to rub her little head a little. One of these days she's going to realize it's not cool to get hit in the head with the ball. Glad she's shaking it off for now.
It was a wonderful couple days and just makes me realize how truly blessed we are to have so many people that we love, and that love us, to celebrate these very special days with. Hope you all had a great Easter too.
